Sky Sisters Paragliding

Julian Alps & Montegrappa
June 1 - 11, 2026
Slovenia & Italy
This all women's paragliding adventure will begin in the paragliding mecca of Bassano Del Grappa in the Venetian region of northern Italy before moving into the Julian Alps and Soča valley in Slovenia. From these two locations we will mainly fly Montegrappa and Kobala, building on our XC routes, with so much potential to explore in the air. There are also alternate sites available to us within a 1-2 hour drive, allowing us to maximize the potential of each day.
We fly together as a family, recognizing that each person’s unique perspective enriches the group as a whole. Paragliding is deeply personal, and we bring that mentality into the adventure, sharing knowledge, airtime, and experience in a supportive and inclusive environment designed to help you on your flying journey. Instrument setup, flight planning, strategy, reading the sky, thermalling, gaggle flying, and cross country are just a few of the areas of focus for growth.
This tour is designed to be as all inclusive and stress-free as possible. You can arrive with the peace of mind knowing that all logistics and details are taken care of: simply focus on flying. All the sites we'll visit are great for early intermediate to advanced pilots, with the option to fly local or go on cross country flights. This trip is perfect for pilots ready to accelerate their paragliding progression and enjoy some truly breathtaking scenery both in the air and on the ground! You can look forward to flight debriefs in the stunning Soča river, Italian gelato, and exploring historic towns after the flying day!

Flying Sites
Bassano, Italy
Monte Grappa is considered the Mecca of free-flight. It has easily reachable takeoffs, and with stable weather conditions and almost no strong winds - it is flyable ~300 days a year. Jump from spur to spur catching climbs off picturesque Italian villages along the southern edge of the mountains. Bassano opens and closes the European thermal season from its beautiful grassy slopes and big open launches. If conditions are on, a drive one valley north to Feltre opens up even more XC potential. The historic town of Bassano del Grappa is perfect to immerse yourself in when not flying, and is a must-visit venue on any pilot’s European tour. Transport to launch - Shuttle
Tolmin, Slovenia
Experience the Julian Alps and the Soča Valley, from a bird’s eye view. Excellent thermal and wind conditions and the shape of mountains create good conditions for free flight. There are several takeoffs in the Soča valley, most notably Kobala, Stol, and Lijak; this allows us to find a suitable takeoff in different weather conditions. The Soča river is a destination in itself, and is perfect for a cold plunge after the flying day. Transport to launch - Shuttle
