Welcome to Sky Sisters

We are here to build community and belonging, embrace exploration, and support growth for female pilots around the world. Our lives are transformed through paragliding. For many female pilots, it’s the first time they are given the opportunity to believe in themselves as Pilot in Command, and that type of self confidence can be life changing. Being a pilot means something different for every individual, and whatever ways the joy of flying is part of your life it is perfect and valid. By embracing that there is no “best” way to express yourself as a pilot we strive to support each person’s journey.

Women make up a small fraction of the overall pilot community, and we often face unique challenges: being light weight, learning style, lack of role models, and sometimes outright sexism. Have you ever been the only female pilot on launch? Asked if you were the driver, or who you are there with? Has this ever affected your confidence or enjoyment in flying? We have too. Sky Sisters was born from the desire to dissolve these barriers, improve female retention in the sport, and most of all have fun flying, learning, and traveling safely together.

When we create this shift in our own perspectives, it ripples through our local communities, eventually transforming the sport as a whole.

You belong. Let’s create some magic!
